The Youth Endowment Fund was established in March 2019 by children's charity Impetus, with a £200m endowment and ten year mandate from the Home Office.
We're here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
To make a lasting difference we must do more than just fund and evaluate promising programmes to prevent violence affecting children. We have to make change happen – changing policy and practice – so that children are better supported and violence reduces.
Our tool has been designed to support youth justice partnerships like you, to self-evaluate your area’s out of court resolution practice against the best available evidence and practitioner insights. By deepening our understanding of what works and clearly identifying where we are now, we can make meaningful and sustainable improvements to practice that best protect children from violence.
